Today we’re announcing what we’ve been quietly building for months: Lagos AI Summit 2026 — the largest AI and technology conference in West Africa — convened by Gsoft Interactive Systems Ltd and taking place on Monday, 23 November 2026 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Edition I. One thousand attendees. One stage. One room where Africa’s AI future gets built.

If you build software, invest in it, regulate it, or run a business that will be reshaped by AI in the next 24 months, this is the room to be in.

The frame

Africa isn’t waiting for the global AI conversation to include it. Lagos is already shipping production AI — in government platforms, in fintech wallets, in payroll assistants, in commerce SaaS, in classrooms. What has been missing is the room. The single day where the people building it, funding it, regulating it, and buying it are physically in the same space.

Lagos AI Summit 2026 is that room.

Who’s in the room

Lagos AI Summit 2026 is engineered for the operating layer of Africa’s AI economy:

  • Founders & operators shipping AI features into production
  • Engineers & CTOs owning the architectural decisions
  • Banks, insurers, telcos deploying AI into regulated workflows
  • Government & policy — federal, state, and agency-level decision-makers
  • Investors — VC, DFI, family office, corporate M&A
  • Academia & training providers shaping the talent pipeline

The audience mix is intentional. AI in Africa doesn’t get built by any one of these constituencies alone — it gets built where they intersect.

The five programme tracks

Publishing on the summit website on 17 September, the programme spans the five tracks that matter for African AI in 2026:

  1. AI in Enterprise & Fintech — banks, telcos, insurance
  2. AI Beyond the Smartphone — emerging markets, voice AI, connectivity infrastructure
  3. AI Governance, Risk & Regulation — legal, ethics, federal policy
  4. The AI-Native Founder Journey — building companies with AI from day one
  5. Investment & Talent — where the capital and the people flow

Each track runs as a mix of keynotes, panels, and deep-dive workshops.

Speakers

The speaker programme is being announced weekly through September:

  • Nak Sule — keynote, Both Sides of the Terminal (announced 1 September)
  • Gideon Ogunbanjo — panel anchor, AI Beyond the Smartphone (announcing 8 September)
  • Additional confirmations rolling out through 22 September

Full speaker line-up publishes on lagosaisummit.com by 17 September.

If you’re a senior operator, founder, policy voice or investor with a talk that fits one of the five tracks, apply at speakers@lagosaisummit.com.

Why Gsoft is convening this

Gsoft has spent eight years shipping production software into African hands — an AI-powered platform for the Rivers State House of Assembly covered by Vanguard, THISDAY and StartupInsights; a fintech wallet handling real customer money; a multi-tenant payroll platform with an embedded AI accounting assistant; an AI-powered commerce SaaS for African sellers.

Across those builds, one pattern kept surfacing: the conversation about production AI in Africa is scattered. It lives on WhatsApp groups, in private Slack channels, in one-off dinners, in the DMs between founders. There is no single day where the ecosystem consolidates.

Lagos AI Summit 2026 exists to build that day.

Under the leadership of our Founder & CEO, Mr. Gift Edegware — recognised in March 2026 with the National Outstanding Performance Award (NOPA) by the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) National Body — Gsoft is convening the summit as an ecosystem contribution, not a commercial launch. We’re organisers, not speakers-first. The stage belongs to the room.

Sponsors and category exclusivity

We are actively closing sponsors across four tiers — Presenting, Category (Fintech / Telco / Government / Cloud), Booth, and Add-on. Category exclusivity activates on next signed LOI in each vertical.

The bigger picture

There is a version of the next decade where African AI is a footnote in someone else’s conference programme. There is another version where Africa builds its own conference, sets its own agenda, and defines its own frontier.

Lagos AI Summit 2026 is Gsoft’s contribution to the second version.

We hope to see you in the room on 23 November.
